Michelle, who is one of the writers of the Older Parent Adoption Blog, recently did a list of "100 things about me" to celebrate her 100th post in that blog.

Well, I happen to be over the 100 blog mark, but this month I have written the MAXIMUM number of blogs for adoptionblogs for each of the two blogs I write. That doesn't mean much to anyone besides the others who write blogs at this site, but I have to tell you, it was quite a feat.

The magic number for two blogs is 86. So here are 86 things about me.

1. I went to 6 different elementary schools, and no, I'm not a military brat.

2. I love bacon beyond reason.

3. I love to read.

4. I love to write.

5. I love to garden.

6. I don't love to run but I do it anyway.

7. I skipped school in 9th grade to go to the 1st showing of "Return of the Jedi."

8. My favorite number is 8.

9. My house is 91 years old.

10. I have two boys and I hope to someday adopt a little girl.

11. My grandma started the Women's Studies department at the University she taught at.

12. My mom and my grandma both earned PhDs.

13. My dad invented the Florida Community College Brain Bowl competition.

14. I own a small press.

15. I have a novel for young adults coming out next year.

16. I used to own a custom quilt company, Adrienne's Room. I quit when I realized that what I really wanted to do with my life was be a writer.

17. I have recently lost 11 pounds which is a minor miracle.

18. I lived in Montreal for 2 years.

19. I lived in central Maine for 2 years.

20. I taught high school when I was 21 and 22 and was voted "best dressed teacher" by the kids for the yearbook.

21. I have a Master's degree in Library Science.

22. My B.A. is from Bates College.

23. In high school I thought I was punk rock.

24. I am writing a mystery novel for middle school students.

25. I am also writing a young adult novel about this.

26. I have always wanted to own a shop that sells fancy housewares.

27. When I was 8 I decided that when I grew up I'd be the editor of Cricket magazine.

28. I had 5 miscarriages, but I'd try again in a heartbeat.

29. My favorite word is "bulb."

30. I am out of touch with my friends from high school although I wonder about them often.

31. I never thought I'd be writing a blog.

32. I'd like to write a gardening column for my local newspaper.

33. I'd like to live in a big city again, but only for about a year.

34. I need time alone to be happy.

35. I am addicted to the TV Show "What Not To Wear." Not that you could tell by looking at me.

36. I always thought I'd have about 5 kids and that they'd all be girls.

37. I have some really good friends.

38. I have some great sisters!

39. My mom is awesome.

40. I hate to clean house, but I like a clean house. It's a quandary.

41. I call my grandpa "Poppi."

42. I am the Culture Editor for the FRUA newsletter.
