The other day I posted some links to horrible stories about adoption. Sadly, they were really easy to find! Today, as promised, I'm posting some happy adoption links. Unfortunately they are a little trickier to find, ESPECIALLY since all the news today is about Madonna and that little boy from Malawi, which I find neither happy nor sad, since I think Madonna always does what's trendy and attention-getting and those are dumb reasons to adopt...although I do wish the little guy well. (And I am not kidding about only finding Madonna stories. I just searched Google news for adoption and clicked through 14 pages of Madonna links before giving up and limited my search to NOT include the word "Madonna.")
Anyhoo, here are some happy, happy adoption stories in the news:
Jeez Louise! It took going through 10 pages of "adoption -Madonna" for a search for
my first positive article about Kentucky Adoption Services, a non-profit Christian agency in Kentucky whose founder was just given an Angel in Adoption award. In addition to placing children, Kentucky Adoption Services also runs humanitarian aid ministries for abandoned and neglected children in Haiti, El Salvador, and Guatemala. Very nice.
Ummmm....I've now gone through 50 pages of links using the above search and I haven't found anything! I think I need to give up, or else search out something other than the international news media for positive stories of adoption!!
Sorry I failed. I did my best...oh, by the way, if you'd like to adopt a bunny and you live near Herriman, Utah, see
this news story for details...
