I wish more of the anti-adoption crowd would understand how very much energy, thought, debate and weighing of all factors goes into just beginning to decide to adopt. It’s sometimes presented as almost a casual, “Hey! Let’s get ourselves a baby!” kind of thing, when that is SO far from the case.

If only all children came into the world with so much care going into the decision to add another human.
